Then my Yixing teapot be saved?
I'm an idiot. He said he left the Oolong tea used in my glass of water Yixing by a few days after each use so that the flavor seep into the porous clay. However, I forgot the Tea Leaves soaked for a few months and when I opened the jar Of Tea today was horrible moisture. Is this it? Do I have the pot? He is a craftsman made pot and cost me over $ 50. I think that you wash, you lose the seasoning, but lose the pot. I have one this is too large pot. ohh simply wash with hot soapy water soup err.

You can fix this. Wash the pot well. If there is mold use baking soda and a toothbrush. Then put the teapot in a pot of water and Tea Leaves and boil it. This will season the teapot. there are u-tube videos on how to season an Yixing teapot, but it is pretty easy.
