Essential Oil
What’s a basic recipe for blending essential oil?
I’m planning on making my own home fragrance oil to put on a diffuser but II don’t know what essential oil to buy. Can you give me a basic recipe blend? I’m thinking about starting with Lavender.
It depends what you want it for, Lavender is good for sleep . Anything citrus will make you more up beat. Lemon grass with anything woody smelling ie cedar wood is relaxing but not tiring . Clary sage good for lowering stress and addictions. Roman Chamomile mixed with lavender is very good for sleep. Don’t forget just a tiny amount is needed in a carrier oil (Any vegetable oil ie jojoba oil almond oil even olive oil at a pinch) 5 to 10 drops per quarter cup. should be good.

What brand of quality therapeutic essential oils to use for best results with depression, major medical and …?
anxiety? There are many brands out there and so I'm just a beginner. I found Somatherapy, Ananda Aromatherapy and many more … What should I go? What is the best combination of clinical depression and anxiety?
Both are the stores do not carry high-quality essential oils. I ask if they are organic or harvested. If not, stay away. Too is adulterated or of poor quality. The word "natural" anything. I do not know about major depression, but there are excellent mixes and oils you can try. My favorites are the transition and Euphoria, by a small company called Vital Source. Smell well, too.

What is a good attention getter for my introduction on a speech for Aromatherapy?
i have a speech due in the next few days about aromatherapy, and i dont know what attention getter i can use. help?
You could bring in a few oils and pass them around during your speech. Don’t pass the bottles, but you can make little scent strips out of watercolor paper, and add a drop or two to the strip before passing it around. You could either label the strips ahead of time, or maybe ask people to guess. Pick oils that contrast, but still work well together, like juniper and lemon, or citrus and clove. The aromas will definitely make it memorable, and the audience interaction will make it more interesting.
