I’m on a strict budget that won’t afford my addiction. I’ve attempted to recreate it using the ingredients listed on the bottle, but all experiments have failed to successfully reproduce the taste I love so much. I’ve searched the Internet, I’ve written the company directly. I even asked a wine enthusiast with a penchant for tea to give me a breakdown of flavors, noses, and bouquets. I’m out of ideas.

With your recipes, please include brand-names and forms (matcha simply isn’t the same as gyokuro!) and any useful tips, such as a precise amount of time for steeping.

Side note: Yes, water is free. I drink plenty of that, too. I need my tea.
