Why are my black Tea Bags are sometimes "fish"? Are they too old or poorly maintained?

I know some people I believe that Green Tea is "suspect" … but sometimes I have a problem with Black Tea * smelly. I think that happens usually with tea bags instead of Tea Bulk. Tea has simply lost its effectiveness? Or has it been exposed to excessive heat or humidity? How I can prevent this from happening in my area?

Tea can pick up odors close easily. It can also grow mold or mildew if wet. Age may well be a factor. In an attempt to arrest a number of flavors funky start the process, storage bags and sheets in sealed containers, preferably glass, and kept in the dark as a closet.
