What are the best ways to increase my metabolism?
I am currently working out after work 4 times a week for hour or so. I eat 3 times a day and not big meals. I take fish oil, green Tea Extract, vitamin b complex, B12, and Acidophilus that high in Lactobacillus family. Lastly drink 8 cups of 8oz water every hour for 8 hours. I’m wondering if there is anything else I can do. Or is all i am doing good enough.
The best way to increase your metabolism is to eat 5-6 small meals a day. Since you only eat 3 times, you really need to add 2 healthy snacks at the minimum. Make sure all your food is healthy.
Also, make sure you are eating something with protein in it within 30 minutes after you work out to help your muscles grow and repair.
Besides your regular workout, try to add more movement into your days as well. Walk the stairs instead of taking the elevator, walk whenever you can (go to the furthest bathroom away when possible, park further away or walk to the store, etc), little things like that really add up.
Other than that, it sounds like you are doing great!
