What is authentic Longjing tea?
I'm a fan of Green Tea. I found that there was great difference in price between Longjing tea (Dragon Well Tea) sold in tea shops. My friends told me that the Longjing tea was false. I wondered what the Longjing tea can be considered authentic. Thanks.
Xihu Longjing Tea can be the most famous Chinese Tea. To be considered as authentic Longjing tea must three conditions. One, The Tea must be produced in 168 square kilometers near the Xihu Lake in Hangzhou, including Longwu, Meijiawu. Secondly, tea should be made of Tea Leaves of the specific variety. Three, the tea should be made of special tradtional. Chinese mandatory national standards for the protection of origin (GB18650) Always there are five varieties of Longjing tea that Xihu Longjing Qunti are cultivars, varieties of Longjing Changy, 43 Longjing cultivars, varieties and cultivars Jiukeng Yingshuang.
